Black Friday: Do You or Don’t You? (I Definitely Don’t!)
Every year when Thanksgiving ends and everyone else is gearing up to run through those Black Friday doors like it’s the Olympics, I’m over here sipping coffee, thankful for online shopping and comfy pajamas.
Hi friends — Tammy here, owner of High Cotton Closet, where plus size women (sizes 12–36!) get to enjoy fashion every bit as much as the skinnies out there. And let me tell you… your girl does NOT do Black Friday shopping.
Not at all.
Not even a little.
Not even if they’re giving away free cheesecake samples at the entrance.
Why I Skip Black Friday.
I know for a lot of folks, Black Friday is a tradition — a thrill, a team sport, a chance to score big deals. And hey, if that’s you, I love your courage.
But me?
No ma’am.
I’m not trying to:
Get elbowed over an air fryer
Stand in line for hours
Dodge rude shoppers
Or get stepped on by somebody who thinks they’re in a race to aisle seven
My peace is worth more than 70% off.
Cyber Monday, Though? Now That’s My Super Bowl.
Cyber Monday is my holiday.
No crowds.
No chaos.
No need to put on a bra before 10 a.m.
Just deals, comfort, and clicking “add to cart” like the responsible adult I pretend to be.
That’s also why I love offering online deals at High Cotton Closet — because all my curvy ladies deserve stress-free shopping, great prices, and clothes that love them back.
Now I Want to Know… How About YOU?
Do you Black Friday shop?
Are you one of the brave ones who thrives in the chaos?
Do you line up at 3 a.m. with coffee and determination?
Or are you like me — strictly a Cyber Monday, stay-home-in-your-leggings kinda shopper?
I’d truly love to hear your take.
Tell me in the comments: Do you or don’t you Black Friday shop? And why?
