30-Day Return Window
We gladly accept returns within 30 days of the delivery date for eligible items.
To qualify for a refund, all returned merchandise must meet the following conditions:
- Unworn
- Unwashed
- Original tags attached
- Free of stains, odors, or damage
- In original packaging when possible
High Cotton Closet reserves the right to deny any return that does not meet these standards.
Approved Refund Reasons
Refunds will be approved for the following predefined reasons:
1. Wrong Size or Fit Issues
We understand that sizing can vary between brands and styles.
Examples include:
- Item is too small or too large despite ordering your usual size
- Tightness in the bust, hips, waist, or arms
- Length significantly shorter or longer than expected
- Fit differs noticeably from product description
Items must remain unworn and in original condition.
2. Item Arrived Damaged or Defective
We stand behind the quality of our products. If your item arrives damaged or defective, we will make it right.
Examples include:
- Rips, tears, or holes upon arrival
- Broken zipper, missing button, or faulty clasp
- Loose or unfinished seams
- Visible stains, snags, or fabric defects
Photo proof is required within 3–5 days of delivery for all damage or defect claims.
3. Wrong Item Received
If an order fulfillment error occurs, we will correct it promptly.
Examples include:
- Incorrect size sent
- Incorrect color sent
- Different style received
- Missing item from order
4. Item Not as Described or Quality Concerns
If the item materially differs from the product listing on our website.
Examples include:
- Fabric composition significantly different than described
- Color noticeably different from product photos
- Item is sheer/see-through when not disclosed
- Quality concerns inconsistent with description
Non-Approved Refund Reasons
For hygiene, safety, and quality assurance, we do not accept returns or issue refunds for the following:
- Final sale or clearance items
- Bodysuits, intimates, or swimwear
- Worn or washed items
- Items with odors (including smoke, perfume, deodorant, or body odor)
- Items with pet hair or excessive lint
- Altered or modified garments
- Items with makeup, foundation, or self-tanner stains
If ineligible items are returned, they may be shipped back to the customer at the customer’s expense.
Return Approval Process
All returns must be approved prior to shipment.
To request a return:
- Submit a return request through your customer account or return portal
- Select your predefined refund reason
- Upload photos if reporting damage/defect
- Await approval instructions
Unauthorized returns may be refused.
Refund Method
Once your return is received and inspected:
- Approved refunds will be issued to the original form of payment
- Please allow 5–10 business days for processing
- Shipping fees (if applicable) are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error
Exchanges
If you need a different size, we encourage exchanges when inventory is available. Exchange requests follow the same condition guidelines as returns.
Policy Abuse & Liability Protection
High Cotton Closet monitors return activity to prevent abuse. We reserve the right to:
- Deny excessive return requests
- Refuse worn or damaged merchandise
- Limit future purchasing privileges if policy misuse occurs
